Maria C. Quiles, 68, passed on August 27th surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Gabriel Santos Quiles. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was a daughter of the late Ramond Martinez and Crucita Figueroa (Rivera) Martinez.
She had been employed as a Tax Preparer for H&R Block for 25 years and had also worked as a paralegal for Kirshenbaum & Kirshenbaum for ten years. She was a proud, grateful, loving and kind person. The courage and bravery she had was unrelenting in the face of adversity. She enjoyed gardening, good food, cooking, family time and traveling. Maria was the most amazing woman I've ever known.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Luis Albino, a daughter, Christina Albino, three grandchildren, Gregory, Isaac and Noah, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 1st from 5:00pm until 8:00pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 2nd in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence, RI at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery.
